HOME started as a research project in 2022. The aim was to establish an interdisciplinary research centre to systematically investigate housing safety and domestic violence.
The project was a success. HOME is now an established research centre - and the common framework for further projects.
Our team combines findings from economics and social sciences, psychology and the humanities with the practical knowledge of regional organisations. We see domestic violence as a social issue that requires research and concrete solutions.
We work closely with specialist agencies, counselling services and the housing industry. Together, we develop and test new support models. Our aim is to make it easier for those affected to access protection, housing and a safe new start.
HOME has since evolved into three independent projects: SIWO, INTERACT and ImVioLa. They deal with housing shortages, prevention and new support models for those affected.
